Hey all! Glad to be a part of the project and I'm excited to be a part of a rich fantasy world driven by story as well as the sexy scenes that we all come for. I've been seriously delving into digital art for about three years now after having a long term off and on relationship with drawing.

My big switched into the nsfw space happened when I got into drawing people and for people on reddit. I found a lot of genuine connection with the communities on reddit and blue sky, it really just got me addicted to drawing. While I always feel like I should be working on things that could be presented to a general audience, I usually end up finding myself delving back into my pure Id. This project is a good opportunity to focus my horny creative output into one project. It's going to be a learning journey and I'm glad that you're a part of it.

Dev log 1

I've got a bunch of reading ahead of me and research. Finding references and building a library is essential to an artist's work, I probably should allot more deliberate time towards this but I just want to draw already. So let's start with some character design work...

First we've got our main character Taru. An expert thief and assassin, dark hair and green eyes. My first designs for her face were a little too basic, so to give some distinction and something to latch onto I gave her a bit of an overbite and larger eyes. The costume will change later because it's a little too much Star Wars, but I like the boot dagger. She's got a casual look, but I think she might be better portrayed more seriously like Black Widow instead.

The main thing I'm considering here is establishing a process, something I can do hundreds of times consistently and as quickly as possible. I tend to get very carried away over rendering and I literally need notes to tell me to stop and move to the next thing even if it isn't 'the best' I can do. This is both a marathon and a race to get this thing to the people. Each of these version took me about an hour of working, so as I go my work will get tighter as the characters get more practiced.

On rendering, these are three 'levels' of detail. As we get more of the character shown, less fidelity is required to get the idea of who's who and what are they doing. I really like using this textured triangle brush, rather than opting for more of a cell shaded look that is more common in games. When it comes to animation I might have to put away the textured brushes however, it can make things too muddy. I don't think I've seen another game do art the way I do, but I fear that I might find out why down the road. If this doesn't work out then cell shading all the way!

Hair is my weakest link. I can do very highly rendered hair but that takes forever and would look very weird with what I need to do for this project. You're gonna have to bear with me as continue to figure out my hair game. It's a balance between too complicated and too messy that I'll have to continually search for.
