Big changes are coming to Jessica's Plight!


Hello everyone!

Jessica's Plight was my first adult game that I ever published. I'm fairly proud of the writing of the progressive self-bondage adventure that the protagonist embarks upon. However, the images are quite bad ("potato quality" is something I've heard many times, and I agree!). Back when I created them, I wasn't using AI tools for assets and backgrounds, and I wasn't aware of any proper gimp filters that could blend makehuman grabs (models) with backgrounds in a satisfying way.

With 2 years of experience writing adult games (Jessica's Plight, Animus Non Grata, Taru's Infernal Pledge) I finally decided it was time to return to this first game and give it a proper overhaul. At the same time, I'm also taking game development more seriously, which means payments.

All this means that version 3.0.0 of Jessica's Plight will be available in the near future, and it will not be free. The current changelog for the upcoming v3.0.0 looks like this:

  • Re-created all images in the game from scratch, using AI tools, makehuman and better gimp filters for a consistent look
  • Fixed a bug in the config menu, where pressing the "Config menu" button while in the config menu would break the "Back to story" link
  • Increased image size in-game and width of the readable text area
  • Added free music by Abstraction, http://abstractionmusic.bandcamp.com/, to the entire game (a total of 8 tracks)
  • Added music volume control option in the config menu
  • Added a roughly 50 passages long prelude to the story, with 29 new images (about 10 000 words)
  • Office Slut path can only be reached with non-shaved head
  • Renamed old chapter 2 to be new chapter 3
  • Added a roughly 43 passages long new Chapter 2 that replaces the old "Office Slut" ending, with 24 new images (about 6000 words)
